JSS Medical College is one of the constituent colleges of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), a deemed-to-be university established in 2008. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various medical specialties, as well as diploma and certificate courses. The college is recognized by the Medical Council of India and was formerly affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
The college has a well-equipped hospital with 1800 beds, 24/7 emergency services, intensive care units, blood bank, diagnostic facilities, and super-specialty clinics. Additionally, it boasts a skill and simulation lab, a centre for experimental pharmacology and toxicology, and an institutional biosafety committee. Engaging in various research, outreach, and extension activities, the college also focuses on interprofessional education and collaborative practice.
