Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) is a prominent medical institute in India, established in 2001 by the Government of India at Safdarjung Hospital, one of the largest hospitals in the country. The college is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The college has ranked at 14th position in NIRF 2023 Ranking in the Medical category.

The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and super specialty courses in the field of medicine and nursing, such as MBBS, B.Sc (Hons) Nursing, MD, MS, DM, and M.Ch. The admission to these courses is based on national-level entrance exams such as NEET UG, NEET PG, and NEET SS respectively. The college also conducts IPU-CET for admission to the B.Sc Nursing course.

The college campus is located at Ansari Nagar, near AIIMS Hospital, New Delhi. It is well-connected by road, rail, and air transport. The campus has a separate library building with an excellent collection of medical books and journals, and internet facility. The campus also has hostel, sports complex, cafeteria, transportation, and IT infrastructure facilities for the students and staff.

The college has a faculty of 295+ members in the pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical disciplines. The college is attached to the famous Safdarjung Hospital for the clinical teaching and learning of students. The hospital has a bed capacity of 2900+ and provides tertiary care services to patients from all over India. The hospital has various departments such as medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, ENT, dermatology, psychiatry, radiology, pathology, microbiology, etc.

The college organizes an annual literary, socio-cultural, and sports festival called Nirvana, which attracts students from various medical colleges across the country. The college also participates in various academic and extracurricular activities at national and international levels. The college has a placement cell that helps the students in getting jobs in reputed hospitals and organizations such as AIIMS, Medanta, Fortis Healthcare, Apollo Hospitals, Max Hospitals, etc. The average package offered to MBBS students at VMMC Placements is estimated at around INR 9.6 LPA.
