LPU Scholarship & Financial Aid 2026-27

Lovely Professional University (LPU) runs one of the largest private scholarship programs in India, awarding over ₹100 Crores in financial aid every year. The university believes that money should not be a constraint for deserving students.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, entrance exam scores, special talent (sports/culture), and social welfare categories.

Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test

1. LPUNEST (Entrance Exam) Scholarship

The most common way to get a fee waiver is through the LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test). The scholarship amount is decided by the "Category" or "Bracket" you fall into based on your rank.

Scholarship Category LPUNEST Score / Rank Fee Waiver (Approx)
Category I (Cut-off I) Top Rankers (Top 10%) 50% - 60% of Tuition Fee
Category II (Cut-off II) High Scorers (Next 10%) 40% - 50% of Tuition Fee
Category III (Cut-off III) Above Average Scorers 30% - 40% of Tuition Fee

2. Scholarship Based on Previous Qualification

If you have scored exceptionally well in your 12th Board Exams or Graduation, you can get a direct scholarship without depending solely on LPUNEST.

  • 95% - 98% Aggregate: Eligible for Scholarship (Max benefits).
  • 90% - 94.99% Aggregate: Eligible for Scholarship.
  • 80% - 89.99% Aggregate: Eligible for Scholarship.

Note: This applies to recognized boards like CBSE, ICSE, and State Boards.

3. National Level Entrance Exam Scholarships

LPU accepts scores from major national exams. If you have a good rank, you don't need to rely just on LPUNEST.

Engineering & Architecture

  • JEE Mains: Percentile (>95, >90, >80).
  • NATA: High scores in the architecture aptitude test are valid for B.Arch scholarships.
  • GATE: Valid GATE scores are accepted for M.Tech scholarships.

Management (MBA)

  • CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT:
    • CAT/XAT Percentile > 95: Scholarship.
    • MAT/CMAT Percentile > 95: Scholarship.

  • CLAT: Top ranks in Common Law Admission Test.
  • UCEED / NIFT: Valid ranks are considered for Design courses.
