BITS Pilani offers on-campus Integrated First Degree programs, including BE, B.Pharm, and M.Sc. The duration of all programs is 4 years (8 semesters). Admission to these programs is made through BITSAT, Board Topper's scheme, International Students' Admission Scheme, and BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy’s admission Scheme.

BITS Pilani BE, B.Pharm, and M.Sc Admission Process

• Through BITSAT: BITS Pilani conducts an India Level test, BITSAT (BITS Admission Test) for integrated first-degree programs including BE, B.Pharm, and M.Sc. Candidates must appear for BITSAT to be eligible for admission.

• Board Toppers: Direct admission is provided to first-rank students of all the central and state boards to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT score. PCM stream toppers can choose any first-degree program, while PCB stream toppers are considered for B.Pharm only.

• International Students' Admission: Candidates with foreign passports and valid Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) scores can apply for admission without appearing for BITSAT. A minimum aggregate score of 1160 (out of 1600) in SAT (new format) is required.

• BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy: Candidates who appeared in BITSAT can choose the BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy mode of admission. They will receive two degrees awarded separately and simultaneously from BITS Pilani and RMIT Australia.

BITS Pilani ME/M.Pharm Admissions 2024

BITS Pilani offers ME and M.Pharm higher degree programs for 2 years. The ME program is offered in 14 specializations and the M.Pharm program in 3 specializations.

BITS Pilani ME/M.Pharm Selection Criteria

• Admission to all ME (except Software systems) and M.Pharm programs is based on marks obtained in the BITS HD admission test or GATE/GPAT scores.
• Admission to ME in Software Systems is only through the BITS HD test.
• Scores of GATE 2024 or GATE 2023 or GATE 2022 will be considered for admissions to ME programs.
• GPAT 2024 or GPAT 2023 or GPAT 2022 will be considered for admission to the M.Pharm program.
• For final admission offers, two separate merit lists are released: one based on GATE/GPAT scores and the other based on BITS HD test marks. A maximum of 50% of seats in each program will be filled through GATE/GPAT scores, and the other 50% by BITS HD test marks.

BITS Pilani MBA Admission 2024

BITS Pilani offers an MBA in Business Analytics program through the Department of Management. It is a two-year full-time residential program with a total seat intake of 80. The fees for the MBA program are INR 6,94,575 (Excluding Hostel and Mess Fees) for the 1st year.

BITS Pilani MBA Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in aggregate and must have studied at least one subject in Mathematics or Statistics at the 10+2 level.
• Candidates in the final year of their qualifying degree are also eligible to apply.

BITS Pilani MBA Selection Criteria

• BITS Pilani conducts the Business Analytics Admission Test (BAAT) for MBA in Business Analytics admissions.
• Based on performance in the BAAT, candidates are shortlisted for a personal interview round.
• The final shortlisting is based on performance in the BAAT, Personal Interview, CAT (2023)/ XAT (2024)/ GMAT (2023) scores (if available), prior work experience, and academic history.

BITS Pilani Ph.D. Admission 2024

BITS Pilani offers PhD programs in regular mode, part-time mode, faculty development scheme, and PhD aspirant scheme. The PhD program provides more than 13 specializations in Engineering, Sciences, and Management. The duration of the PhD program ranges from 2 to 5 years. BITS Pilani provides a monthly stipend of INR 28,000 to INR 31,000 to its PhD scholars.

BITS Pilani PhD Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should be working in an organization that collaborates with BITS Pilani for Practice School/Research/WILP activities.
• M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm./MBA/M.Phil. or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
• M.Sc./B.E./B.Pharm. or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
• For admissions to Humanities and Social Sciences, candidates with an M.A. degree and a minimum of 55% aggregate may apply.

BITS Pilani PhD Selection Criteria

• Admission to the PhD course is based on the entrance examination and interview conducted by BITS Pilani. Students with M.Phil./M.E./M. Tech. or with national level fellowships like CSIR NET-JRF, DBT-JRF, UGC NET-JRF, etc., are exempted from the BITS Pilani written test. However, all candidates need to appear for a personal interview.
• The BITS Pilani PhD Entrance test is conducted in two parts. For Biological Sciences/Chemistry/Mathematics/Physics, Test I is common to all disciplines and Test II is discipline-specific.
  • Test 1 consists of 30 multiple-choice questions from General Science, Quantitative Reasoning & Analysis, and Research Aptitude. The duration is 1 hour, with each correct answer awarded 2 marks and 0.5 marks deducted for every wrong answer.
