IIM Ahmedabad Scholarships 2024: Facilitating Access to Excellence
IIM Ahmedabad is committed to fostering an inclusive educational environment, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder deserving students from pursuing their academic aspirations. To achieve this, the institute offers a range of need-based scholarships in addition to support from the Government of India, Alumni, and corporate entities.
Scholarships Offered by IIM Ahmedabad
1. IIM Ahmedabad Special Need-Based Scholarships
- Eligibility: Students in PGP & PGP-FABM with a gross annual family income below INR 15,00,000 during the previous fiscal year.
- Scholarship Amount: Determined based on factors such as family assets, the number of dependents, and other relevant criteria.
2. IIM Ahmedabad Scholarships for SC/ST’s
- Details: Postgraduate SC/ST students receive a scholarship of INR 150 per month for 10 months.
3. IIM Ahmedabad Exit Scholarships

For Entrepreneurship:
- Eligibility: Monthly stipend for up to three years for students opting out of placements with entrepreneurial aspirations.
- Scholarship Amount: INR 30,000 per month.

For Not-for-Profit Organizations:
- Eligibility: Financial aid for up to three years for students joining non-profit organizations.
- Scholarship Amount: Ranges from INR 3.0 to 4.0 lakhs annually.

For Doctoral Studies:
- Eligibility: Financial assistance for up to three years for students pursuing Ph.D. studies.
- Scholarship Amount: Ranges from INR 3.0 to 4.0 lakhs per student per year.
Scholarships Offered by Government of India
1. IIM Ahmedabad SC/ST Scholarships (Merit-cum-Means)
- Eligibility: Meritorious SC/ST students with a family income not exceeding INR 4,50,000 per annum.
2. Minority Welfare Scholarships (Merit-cum-Means)
- Eligibility: Awarded to minority community students with a family income not exceeding INR 2.50 lakhs per annum.
3. Scholarships for Students with Disabilities (Merit-cum-Means)
- Eligibility: Meritorious DA/PWD students with a family income not exceeding INR 6,00,000 per annum.
Scholarships Offered by Alumni
1. PGP Alumni Endowment Funds
- Eligibility: 9 economically and socially challenged students from PGP 1 & PGP/FABM II.
- Scholarship Amount: INR 2,00,000 - 3,00,000 per student.
2. Class of PGP 2001, Peri Viswanath Scholarship
- Eligibility: Financial support for one student based on academic merit and family income.
- Scholarship Amount: INR 4,00,000 over 2 years.
3. Shri GC Mital Entrepreneurship Aid
- Eligibility: For graduating students opting for entrepreneurship with an educational loan.
- Scholarship Amount: INR 2,00,000.
4. Smt. J Nagamma Memorial Award
- Eligibility: Merit scholarship for one PGP first-year student.
- Scholarship Amount: INR 15,000.
General Rules and Regulations
- Students must adhere to the institute's disciplinary norms to be eligible for scholarships.
- Acceptance of multiple scholarships is allowed if sponsors have no objections and the total amount does not exceed yearly expenses.
- The institute reserves the right to withdraw scholarships for false information, disciplinary violations, or misconduct.
