The 330 acres that make up the IT Delhi campus resemble an institutional metropolis. There are a variety of offices, dorms, and residential structures on the campus. In addition, four zones serve administrative and logistical purposes on the IIT Delhi campus. As a result, there are the academic area, the main administrative building, the hostel area on the West Campus, and the residential area on the East Campus. The administrative unit of IIT Delhi also has a specialized team called Infrastructure that is in charge of designing, organizing, and building new infrastructure.

Hostel at IIT Delhi

Every hostel at IIT Delhi operates cooperatively, with elected student leadership managing day-to-day activities under the direction of specific academic members. Operationally, the Board of Hostel Management (BHM) has jurisdiction. Due to space restrictions, just slightly more than half of the total number of students can be housed in IITD dorms. As a result, the majority of hostels are shared. Boys' and girls' hostels are located separately. There are now non-air-conditioned accommodations available for candidates enrolled in UG courses. Nonetheless, the hostel has air-conditioned communal spaces, such as dining areas and common rooms. Furthermore, using the hostel accommodations is not required.

IIT Delhi Library

In addition to the departmental libraries, IIT Delhi also includes a central library. With a large book collection and subscription to 690 current journals, the library offers students a top-notch education and imparts knowledge. More than 2,261 microfilms, more than 1.94 volumes, and thousands of technical reports are available. Additionally, a photocopying service is offered on the premises by an outside vendor on a pay basis.

Moreover, IIT Delhi alumni get access to the central library from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. upon renewing their membership. Employees and faculty members are also eligible to apply for membership.

Sports Facilities at IIT Delhi

IIT Delhi has a plethora of playgrounds, tracks, fields, and game rooms for both indoor and outdoor gaming. The academics and their families are the only ones who can use the sporting facilities at the institute. The following is a list of some of the sports facilities that IIT Delhi offers:
