Scholarship 1: Schedule I – Means-Based Scholarship
The Means Based Scholarship at NALSAR University is structured to provide financial assistance to students based on their annual family income brackets. The scholarship amount is determined by a formula that takes into account the base points assigned to specific income brackets as a percentage of the tuition fee.
The breakdown of base points for different annual family income ranges is as follows:
- Up to 3,00,000 annual family income: 100 base points
- 3,00,001 to 4,00,000 annual family income: 85 base points
- 4,00,001 to 5,00,000 annual family income: 60 base points
- 5,00,001 to 6,00,000 annual family income: 45 base points
- 6,00,001 to 7,00,000 annual family income: 30 base points
- 7,00,001 to 8,00,000 annual family income: 20 base points
Scholarship 2: Schedule II – Means Cum Merit-Based Scholarship
Schedule II comes into effect when the sanctioned scholarship budget is insufficient based on the criteria of Schedule I. This scholarship combines both means and merit components, with a 75 percent weightage for means and 25 percent for merit. The calculation for the scholarship amount is as follows:
