Admission Procedure: The admission process for NIFT Patna commences in May each year. Candidates are required to apply online for the course of their choice. Admission to UG and PG courses is based on performance in the NIFT Entrance Exam, which comprises the Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT), and Situation Test/Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD and PI) rounds.

Selection Criteria:

• BDes: Candidates must have completed Class 12 in any stream or equivalent, or possess a 3 or 4-year diploma in Engineering recognized by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education. Selection is based on the NIFT Entrance Exam (CAT and GAT) followed by the Situation Test.
• BFTech: Requires Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized board, or a 3 or 4-year diploma in Engineering recognized by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education. Admission is based on the NIFT Entrance Exam (GAT).
• MFM: Candidates need a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Selection is based on the NIFT Entrance Exam (GAT) followed by GD and PI conducted by NIFT.
• CEP: Requires completion of Class 12 from a recognized board/university. Selection is merit-based.
