Exceptional students have the opportunity to receive financial support through monthly stipends at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira.
Approximately 40% of the college's students are recipients of financial assistance, and the monthly stipend amount varies for each individual, ranging from Rs. 100 to Rs. 1600. In the previous year, an impressive sum exceeding Rs. 18 lakhs was distributed as scholarships and stipends.
Additionally, students can access scholarships and financial aid from various external sources, all channeled through the college. These sources include:
- Governments of India and the Government of West Bengal.
- University Grants Commission.
- Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira Alumni Association.
- Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark.
- Esteemed ex-students.
- Ramakrishna Mission Headquarters, Belur Math.
Important Notes:
- Students receiving scholarships and stipends from external sources are required to surrender the full amount to the college. However, if the total exceeds the college's award, the surplus will be refunded to the student.
- The college may reduce or cancel the granted concession if a student's general conduct or academic progress is unsatisfactory.
- Stipend-holders leaving the college without completing their course of study are obligated to refund the amount spent by Vidyamandira on their college and hostel charges.
- An income certificate from the guardian's appropriate authority must be submitted.
- Hostel boarding advances for students with financial assistance will not be refunded during the final clearance upon leaving the college; instead, these amounts will be credited to the scholarship fund.
