• The college has been ranked 12th among India's medical colleges in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023, marking a four-place improvement from the previous year. Moreover, it earned an A++ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), recognizing its excellence in teaching, research, and outreach.

2. Launch of Innovative Programs

• Introducing the inaugural postgraduate program in Medical Genetics, the first of its kind in the country. Aligned with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), this program aims to train students in the diagnosis, management of genetic disorders, and pioneering research in this emerging field. The program welcomes an annual intake of six students.

• Secured a significant grant of Rs. 10 crore from the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. This funding aims to establish a Centre of Excellence in Genomics and Precision Medicine. The center's focus is on pioneering novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for diseases like cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disorders, and infectious diseases using genomic technologies and data analysis. It will also collaborate with national and international institutions for research and training.
