Overview
The Institute of Hotel Management Chennai was established in 1963 and is sponsored by the Government of Tamil Nadu & India. IHM Chennai is ISO certified and accredited by IAO, HLACT, and AACBE. The college is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism and is affiliated with National Council for Hotel Management and IGNOU. The IHM Chennai is ranked one for participation in the GHRDC Hotel Management Institute Survey 2022 in the State of Tamil Nadu (Government). The college, through its five departments, offers UG, PG, diploma, and certificate courses such as B.Sc., M.Sc, UG Diploma etc. to students across Hospitality Administration, Hospitality and Hotel Administration, and other streams.
