Infrastructure/Facilities

The Institute offers comprehensive infrastructure and facilities to support academic and extracurricular activities. These facilities include a well-stocked library, modern hostels, various specialized laboratories, a cafeteria, sports complex, medical facilities, Wi-Fi access across the campus, an auditorium, and additional amenities such as conference halls, guest houses, and exhibition grounds.

Library

The Institute's library system is extensive, comprising a National Library and several divisional libraries. The National Library boasts a vast collection of 91,881 volumes, including 52,010 books and 33,457 bound journals and bulletins. It also houses 4,646 theses, CD-ROMs, 268 microfiches, and 1,500 CDs and reprints. The library offers facilities such as internet browsing, access to old documents and reference literature, photocopying, printing, scanning, and online full-text download of research articles from over 1,200 journals. Additionally, it subscribes to more than 100 periodicals.

Hostel

The Institute provides separate hostels for boys and girls within the campus, all fully furnished with modern amenities.

Boys Hostel:

• Capacity: 150 beds
• Includes: AC common room for sports and indoor games, reading rooms, hobby center, TV rooms, dining halls, kitchen with mess service, Wi-Fi access, and library resources available round the clock.

Girls Hostel:

• Capacity: 50 beds
• Includes similar facilities as the boys' hostel.

• B. Tech. Students: Brahmaputra Hostel
• Post-graduate Students: Sutlej Hostel, Krishna Hostel, Narmada Hostel
• Girls Students: Kaveri Girls Hostel
• Married Scholars: Dedicated accommodation for Ph.D. scholars sponsored by other universities/institutions.
• International Students: A well-furnished international hostel with modern facilities.

Labs

The campus is equipped with various specialized laboratories to support research and learning:

Cafeteria

A cafeteria is available on campus, providing refreshments and meals to students, staff, and visitors.

Sports Complex

The campus includes a sports complex that supports various physical activities and sports events for students and staff.

The Institute provides hospital and medical facilities on campus to ensure the health and well-being of its community.

Wi-Fi Campus

The entire campus is equipped with Wi-Fi, allowing students and staff to access the internet from anywhere on campus.
