A deemed university located in Porur, Chennai, is Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, now known as Sri Ramachandra University. It was founded by Sri Ramachandra Education & Health Trust on September 11, 1985.
At the undergraduate level, Sri Ramachandra University offers courses in MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. (Medical), B.Sc. (Nursing), BPT, BOT, BBA, B.Pharm, and BASLP. The university offers Pharm.D., MD, MS, MDS, MPT, M.Sc. (Nursing), M.Sc. (Medical), and MBA programs at the postgraduate level in a number of subject areas. Students can apply to doctorate-level DM, M.Ch, and Ph.D. courses in addition to UG and PG courses.
